My busy life

For anyone who still reads this thing I thought I would give a quick update. It has been a fun summer but unfortunatly it is sson coming to a close. This past weekend has been super fun.
On Friday night I headed up the popcorn machine at a BBQ/movie night we did for the community at our church. I volunteered all my friends to come help me and they did a great job. My best friend accidentally punched me in the eye and so I wore a ice pack for the last 30 minutes or the movie. It was quite painful. Sadly, I did not have a black eye to show of to everyone the next day. I was quite bummed.

Saturday my family and my best friend (yes, i still love her despite the fact that she punched me in the eye) went up to Forrest Falls for a picnic. We had allot of fun at the falls up there and climbing trees as well.

Saturday night 15 of my friends and I went to the Harvest Crusade. Kutless, Hawk Nelson, and David Crowder band played. All of which were awesome except Hawk Nelson. They mostly just sing about CA and girls - Christian girls mind you. I have trouble seeing the Christian theme in their songs. I found out the lead singer in David Crowder is quite ugly...he sings good though. There were thousands of people that got saved that night.

AAAAAAAAAH!!!!

On Sunday I went to church as normal and then I went rock Climbing with two cute guys! I'm not sure which was more fun - the cute guys or the rock climbing! jk It was the first time I had done that and I really want to go again. I was rather sore the next day though. It's pretty hard on your arms. When I was spotting (holding the climber with the rope) Christian, I was sort of lifted off the ground since he was a little heavier then I. After we were done rock climbing we went to the Rainforrest Cafe, did a little mall shopping, and then I hung out at a donut shop with Daniel.

Monday, I went to work and then went up the mountains with about six of my friends to one of my friends cabins. We had lots of there as well.
Sadly, I have only been to the beach about 4 times this summer. Our life of the party/beach bum was thrown off his bike and he got pretty scraped up. He probably wont be able to go to the beach for a little while longer. Maybe we can plan a fall beach trip though.

That was a rather long post - but I'm bored and no one is going to read it anyway.

Hope all is well down south. Miss you all.

ben has an apartment!

Hi all,

Ben moved out yesterday--renting an apartment with a friend. He has a lot to learning about packing and cleaning, but he'll get there! His roommate is very clean and neat, so maybe it will rub off. He is now working full-time for Master Media in Redlands.

So what is everyone paying for gas these days? Our closest station is at $3.15/gallon.

Happy Birthday, Ken!

Hi Ken,

Happy Birthday! I tried to put a picture of balloons on here, but my blogging abilities are in the infantile stage. So just imagine some balloons and have a good one!

Calhoun Bryans

Hello everyone!
this is all new to us.. so we hope you get this. All is well here. It rained for a while but weather has been great lately. Ken planted 10 pounds of potatoes and plans to have about 1000 sweet corn seeds in the ground this weekend. Soccer is over for Hannah so our Saturdays are free. Right now the girls are on spring break and i have been painting and i am too old... ha I am hurting and sore but i will conquer the room.. ha this blog thing is great. let me know if someone gets this.. ha later, lisa ****** Ken went to S.E. Huey Co. today to discuss creating lots for the land across the street. he found out that the parish ordinances will only allow you to sell up to four lots without creating a subdivision. Five or more lots constitutes a subdivision and has to have police jury approval of street design, all utilities, effects of the water shed and also health dept approval. An engineer will give estimate on coordinating the consolidation of all this info, including bids for construction for the road and installation of utilities. Needless to say this is all over Ken's head .... help... Ken welcomes any input, info, opinions, suggestions... anything. especially prayers
